Educational, practical and fun music lessons in Kendal & the surrounding areas.
Mentoring/Consultancy/Advice on the music industry, performing, songwriting and building a successful career in the exciting and rewarding field of music.
Phillip A. Simpson (BA Hons Music & Technology) is an experienced instrumental teacher in York, specialising in Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin & Vocal. Phillip is an approved approved council music tutor.
With an engaging, fun and simple teaching approach, students learn the basics then get right into playing from the very first lesson. There is no focus on exams, theory or any of the boring stuff – lessons are focused purely on playing for the fun of it and obtaining great results in a relatively short period of time.
Theory is most certainly taught however, but taught in an innovative, fun and educational way – after all, like anything the understanding of music theory often comes naturally from playing.
As well as a regular professional performing musician, I work in the music industry and can also offer advice, consultancy and mentoring in building a career in music – including tips & advice and ‘insider knowledge’ on everything to do with gigging, songwriting, recording, performing and planning a career in music.
I aim to make learning as fun as possible!
With a structured lesson plan tailored to the students individual needs, and building from their strengths, I strive to ensure students come away with a skill, a confidence and at foremost an enjoyment in what they are doing.
I have transport and will happily visit all over Kendal, Lakeland & the surrounding areas.
Rates are very reasonable – please call for a chat today on 07708 923 540 – or email email@example.com
I am also a seasoned performer & regularly play around the area - http://philsimpsonmusic.weebly.com/
